Why Homemade Pizza Sauce Is Best ?

Pizza Sauce is made up of tomatoes and some garlic cloves, dry spices with the flavor of tomatoes, and some butter.

While I make pasta or schezwan noodles that time I also add some amount of pizza sauce in the recipe and believe me that it gives me a good flavor to my recipes.

If you don’t want to use a whole quantity of pizza sauce at that time you can easily store your pizza sauce in a refrigerator for almost 10-15 days.

Here I am sharing the very easy and quick recipe for pizza sauce.

  1. Rinse and then chop all the tomatoes.
  2. Crush the tomatoes in a blender.
  3. You can even make a smooth puree of the tomatoes.

Making Pizza Sauce

    • Heat olive oil in a pan.
    • Then add the minced garlic and saute for 4 to 5 seconds on low heat.
    • Add the crushed tomatoes and saute for 4 to 5 mins on low to medium-low heat.
    • Add the chopped basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper as per your taste.
    • Cover and cook for 25 minutes on low heat till the sauce has thickened and the tomatoes are cooked.
    • When tomatoes are cooked you will have some oil specks on top or the sides. But cook till the sauce thickens.
    • Check the seasonings add more salt or pepper if required.
    • Remove from pan and let the sauce cool.
    • When the sauce has cooled, you can use it right away as a pizza topping.
    • Otherwise, store the pizza sauce covered or sealed in a bowl or a small to medium jar in the refrigerator. You can even freeze the sauce for a couple of months.
    • firstly, slit x on the bottom of tomatoes.
    • furthermore, add 6 tomatoes (slitted at the bottom) into boiling water and blanch.
    • close the vessel and boil for 3-4 minutes or till the skin starts to leave from tomatoes.
    • further, peel the skin of tomatoes once they cooled completely.
    • Then take 3 peeled tomatoes and blend them to smooth purees.
    • Chop the other 3 tomatoes discarding the seeds.
    • Transfer to the plate and keep aside.
    • Furthermore, heat oil in a non-stick Tawa or heavy-bottomed pan.
    • Add chopped garlic and saute till they turn slightly golden brown.
    • Further, saute chopped onions till they change color.
    • Then add chopped – deseeded tomatoes and cook completely.
    • Mash in between so that it turns mushy soon.
    • Also, add prepared tomato puree (3 balanced tomatoes).
    • Mix well and add basil, sugar, chili powder, oregano, chili flakes, and salt.
    • Mix well and get the sauce to a boil.
    • Further, cover and simmer the sauce for at least 5 minutes or till the sauce turns thick.
    • Also add tomato sauce and butter.
    • Finally, mix well and the pizza sauce is ready to prepare pizzas or pasta.
